Senior Business Development Manager

We are a fast-growing private technology startup based in India, actively expanding into the Indian defence and homeland security markets. Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager – Defence & Government Sector

Location: India

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities of the job include:

Drive business development efforts for defence and government accounts including Army, Navy, Air Force, CRPF, BSF, DRDO, DPSUs, and MoD.
Identify and engage with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and technical stakeholders across government and military establishments.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with defence procurement procedures (DPP, DPM, Make in India, iDEX, etc.).
Prepare and submit Expressions of Interest (EOI), RFPs, RFIs, and defence tenders independently or in collaboration with internal teams.
Represent the company at defence exhibitions, industry meetings, and vendor presentations.
Maintain strong customer relationships through post-sale support, renewal coordination, and capability upgrades.
Liaise with internal engineering and pre-sales teams to deliver customized solutions to end-users.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving requirements within the Indian defence ecosystem.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience (7+ years) in selling to the Indian defence sector, DPSUs, or government bodies.
Strong understanding of Indian defence procurement ecosystem and public sector buying processes.
Prior experience working with or selling to DRDO, Army HQs, Command Centres, or MoD is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially in high-trust institutional setups.
Ability to prepare and interpret technical and financial proposals for government clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Defence Studies / Business; MBA preferred.
Background as a retired armed forces officer (Major, Lt. Col., equivalent) will be a strong advantage.

Client Relationship Manager

Job Title: Client Relationship Manager – Defence Accounts

Location: India

Experience Required: 4+ years

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities of the job include:

Manage ongoing relationships with key defence clients (Army formations, DRDO labs, MoD departments, CAPFs).
Act as the primary point of contact for client feedback, issue resolution, and technical coordination.
Maintain account health by ensuring timely service delivery, documentation support, and product education.
Schedule and lead client meetings, review calls, and satisfaction tracking.
Collaborate with internal teams for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), product demos, and rollout updates.
Identify upselling or renewal opportunities and engage client stakeholders proactively.

Qualifications & Skills:

4+ years in customer success, defence key account management, or B2G relationships.
Prior engagement with Indian Armed Forces, PSU clients, or defence integrators is a strong plus.
Retired army/navy/air force officers encouraged to apply.
Excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of institutional hierarchies.
Degree in Business, Defence Studies, or Engineering.

Covernment Tender & Liaison Offer

Job Title: Government Tender & Liaison Officer

Location: India

Experience Required: 3+ year

Key Responsibilities of the Job includes:

Track and respond to government tenders (RFI, RFP, EOI) via GeM portal, MoD, DRDO, and DPSU platforms.
Coordinate preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals in compliance with defence procurement norms.
Develop and maintain liaison with procurement officers in armed forces, central police organizations, and public-sector undertakings.
Work closely with internal teams (legal, finance, technical) to ensure documentation readiness for bids.
Manage vendor registrations, pre-qualification processes, and techno-commercial evaluations.
Provide regulatory inputs related to Make-II, iDEX, DPP/DPM guidelines, etc.
Attend vendor meets, industry interactions, and pre-bid conferences on behalf of the company.

Qualifications & Skills:

3+years experience in government procurement or public-sector bidding.
Hands-on experience with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), CPP Portal, and MoD systems.
Proficiency in documentation, compliance, and government liaison.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Law, or relevant technical discipline.
Knowledge of defence procurement ecosystem is highly preferred.
Hindi and English fluency; additional Indian languages a plus.
